Fyntra is led by Anthony A. O’Brien, an operator who spent thirty years running sales, lending, and capital-markets organizations before he began rebuilding them for others. Fyntra finds where revenue leaks between a lead and a close and installs the discipline to stop it. Not advice from the sidelines. We rebuild the execution layer with your team until it holds.
Founded Spinnaker Partners in 1989. Member of the PSE, CBOE, and NYSE.
About Us
Most companies don’t have a lead problem. They have an execution problem. Fyntra identifies where revenue leaks between lead and close, then installs the discipline to stop it.
Senior Vice President and head of the bond desk, leading 15 traders selling debt to institutional buyers.
Built and scaled a 400-person field sales force across 13 deregulated states, driving $30M a month.
Built a top 10 national commercial lender operating across 40 states.
Ran a proprietary hedge fund for 16 years, through every market cycle.
Anthony built a 400-rep sales force in the deregulated energy sector, founded a top-10 national lender in real estate finance, and ran a proprietary fund through every market cycle. Three industries, three products, and the same failure every time: not a shortage of demand, but revenue leaking between a lead and a close. That is why Fyntra does not sort companies by industry. The leak is the same wherever deals are dying.
Our Approach
Every engagement starts with the evidence, then moves into execution.
Understand the problem before recommending a solution.
Built around the five domains of The O’Brien Method.
Data drives decisions, not assumptions.
Grounded in 30+ years of operator experience, 400+ salespeople led, and $30M/mo revenue scaled.
Focus on measurable results, not busy work.
The 90-Day Capability Build installs the operating rhythm, coaching, and discipline to execute.
Meet the Founder
Tony O’Brien is a senior operator with three decades of experience building and scaling sales and operations organizations across complex, regulated markets. At Fyntra, he helps leaders fix the operating system beneath the pipeline, the discipline that determines whether the year hits its number, and embeds AI where it produces verifiable operating leverage.
I work with founders, owners, and executive teams who need their organizations to perform more like the business they intend to run. My focus is the operating spine, the place where strategy, sales, and execution either compound or leak.
At Fyntra, that work increasingly involves embedding AI to produce a verifiable outcome: faster lead capture, sharper qualification, more disciplined follow-up, and forecasts that leadership can actually plan against. The tools are new. The operating principles are not.
Why most mid-market B2B companies don’t have a strategy problem — they have a capability problem. And how to fix it.
A leadership-level view of where AI creates durable advantage and where it does not.
Updated to reflect current interest-rate dynamics and the evolving private-capital business model.
Meet the Founder
Anthony A. O’Brien has spent three decades building revenue engines in markets that punish sloppy execution — energy, finance, and real estate — where the sales cycle is complex, the channel is difficult to build, and the regulatory landscape leaves no room for guesswork. At Glacial Energy he recruited, trained, and led a 400-person field sales force across 13 deregulated states, driving monthly revenue past $30 million. He founded Spinnaker Partners, a proprietary hedge fund, and ran it for 19 years, allocating capital across multiple market cycles. He built Real Estate Lender into one of the country’s top commercial lenders, and as Managing Director of SFE/FE Energy led go-to-market for an energy brand in the Commercial & Industrial segment. His career began on the capital side in equities and credit, including Senior Vice President at Prudential-Bache Securities.
Across every one of those businesses — different industry, different decade, different team — the same pattern held: the companies that scaled were the ones who could see what was actually happening inside the machine, measure where it was breaking, and fix it. That conviction is the foundation of Fyntra. He works best with operators who want a partner willing to challenge their assumptions and stress-test the plan, not validate it. He lives and works in Charlotte, North Carolina.
An operator is only as good as the discipline behind the delivery. Two people keep Fyntra’s engagements on schedule, secure, and reliable.
